The Alpine Inn of Little Switzerland, North Carolina is a precious gem among western North Carolina’s misty blue mountains. Situated on what seems to be the Top of The World, and granting its guests the most breathtaking views of majestic marching mountaintops, the Alpine Inn is unlike any other property in North Carolina. This piece of western North Carolina real estate is engulfed in the peaceful serenity of the Pisgah National Forest along route 226A, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
No television, no worries - you are in Mother Nature’s lap when you visit The Alpine Inn.
Our rooms are of a traditional style, wood paneled, with windows and balconies that open out to a view that stretches on for miles!
Our rooms do not have televisions, but one look out of the window at the ever changing natural scenery unfolding before your eyes and you will see why you wouldn't even switch it on even if it was there!
Our rooms are internet accessible though, and all are non-smoking rooms for your comfort.
Far removed from the hustle and bustle of modern America, a stay at the Alpine Inn is sure to relieve visitors of the chaotic pace and hectic demands that some days feel inescapable. Located midway between Asheville and Boone, this peaceful resort environment boasts stunning visual entertainment in the form of cascading mountains, over 100 species of trees, gentle wildlife (including an occasional bear), and rustic rooms reminiscent of days gone by.
A soothing symphony of nature’s best serenades guests as they take in the freshness of the mountain air from their private balcony. Hear the wind brush against the leaves below you on the mountainside. Listen for the songs of birds or sit still enough to feel the buzz of a hummingbird. Perhaps let the sound of a trickling creek tickle your eardrum. Here you can simultaneously soothe and stimulate your senses – and possibly restore your sanity
The Inn is a family owned and operated country inn that has served the Blue Ridge Parkway for over 75 years, and we like to think we have some of the most magnificent mountain views in the entire region!
We take pride in our Inn, because it is where we live too, and that's why we know we will treat you like family, because a visit to the Alpine Inn is a visit to our home!
